Cargo Bar & Pizza Lounge

One of our employees had a birthday there. We were invited. They let us in bit sooon after said we had to leave for no justifiable reason. We had just bought our employees drinks and was escorted out abrubtley. We are so embarressed. They wouldnt even tell us why. We were just escorted out. We werent drunk as they tried to say we were. We had just arrived and entered through their security. Why let us in if they are just going to throw us out. Our poor employees must also be so embarassed. Our recommendation is do not have work functions there. You too will end up embarassed in front of your empolyees. What a shame. After we paid all that money on food and drinks for our employees.

I have flown from the gold coast just to have the huon valley mushroom pizza. Awesome. The only downside is the moody waitress. I say leave the attitude at home or get a job that doesn't involve being friendly.

I could see this place at home in NYC, albeit a smaller version. It's hip, it's pumping, the decor is modern & breezy, it's full of a youngish crowd wanting to be seen. Not to take this the wrong way but it did seem out of place in Hobart! But vibe aside, we came here for the food. We'd heard about the pizza's & scanning through the menu I was impressed & eager. We opted for a Chicken dukkah, a pesto, a seafood paella & a pork & apple pizza. Wow, how good does that sound? Unfortunately, the concept was great but the product wasn't. Generally dry, disappointing produce...overall, not great! If you want a place to drink, have a quick snack, well I'd say give it a go. Just don't go here for a dedicated meal with high expectations...that was our downfall. It's OK, but not much more!

Cargo bar is a funky bar in Salamanca place that serves up simple Pizzas and good beer. The funky bar is something a little different to other bars that serve the humble pizza.

The atmosphere is chilled with cool beats floating through the bar area. The high ceilings with bare beams and wooden floor gives a great sense of space when you walk in.
