Went out for dinner I had the cajun chicken fettuccine, pasta sauce was great, the pasta was a traditional pasta not the ones you get from safeway, very nice, the chicken beast was moist and on top of the dish. The meal was too big and I couldn't finish it. My friend had the curry, butter chicken I think. They asked for it hot and thats what it was. The dish was large again, big portion of rice, good blend of spices in the curry, good depth in flavour. Service was good, meals & drinks were prompt. I liked the decor with artworks displayed on the walls and crayons on the tables to draw. I've seen this in a few places on my travels and I liked the concept gives you something to do while waiting for your meal.
Booked a table of 20 for dinner on Friday night with family and friends for my birthday. Very happy when we arrived, were greeted by friendly staff who sat us at our table. It was a busy night, live musician was excellent and said happy birthday over the mic. He played blues and rock very well. Food was tasty and big sizes. I enjoyed the barramundi. Drinks were quick to be served and the bar range was good. Enjoyed the wine list. Our table was near the open fire that was warm and enjoyable.
I was at the cinema with family and decided to grab lunch next door at Carinos.
We sat outside in the sun. I was happy to see smiling, professional staff. My husband loved the steak sandwich and the lamb souvlaki was divine. The kids had free spiders with their meals and they were rapt. We tried a few wines and the NZ Tigers Tale Sauvignon Blanc was really good.
Keep up the good work guys. Thanks for lovely meals and service.
very poor service (not busy at time we dined) outside chairs were still chained up at lunch time so neded to ask staff to unchain to dine. our food took almost an hour to come as one of our meals was forgotten. people who sat down after us were served their meals first. we chose the lamb salad and lamb wrap, the lamb was awful - over cooked, stringy, dry and chewy. we didn't eat it. he lamb salad looked particularly unappetising - presentation was appaling. we often stopped on our way to Sandy Point for the weekend for a coffee, cake or meal but will never do so again. the iced coffees (even when uou ask for a strong one) taste just like a milk. very disappointed.
