The dining area has a light, airy casual feel surrounded by glass concertina doors offering natural light and ambience, and the opportunity on a beautiful day to become an open verandah-style dining area.
Carmel's is also the perfect venue for specialized weddings, parties or functions not always available at larger function outlets.

After being a regular customer of this restaurant I will not be going back after the disgraceful meal we had tonight. After getting our entree almost an hour after ordering it. We had to ask if the mains were going to be coming out at all but before we could do that the staff at the till asked us for our table number to finalise the bill! I then explained we hadn't even received our meals yet. The staff said well you did order a entr�©e so it will be a while. I responded with what over an hour? ?. Then a wait staff ran over one meal at a time to our table. Not one meal ordered was edible let alone enjoyable. Two fish meals came complete with bones through them. A burger meal looked as though it had been thrown together. And a serve of seasonal vegetables looked and tasted as though they came out of a steam bag in the frozen veg aisle at the supermarket. if the food came out first we would have had a brilliant night and wouldnt have even mentioned the poor customer service. i agree with the below statement the wait staffs were not very good.
When we arrived we asked for a table for 6 people, and they seated us straight infront of the bar. we could see everything - all the people walking in, all the staff behind the counter and what was said between staff about tables and customers (because we were right there) we werent even seated for 10 minutes and we had been asked 3 times by 3 different waiting staff if we would like to order drinks. we had only just sat down - hadnt even looked at the menu's, and were ...read more

I have had an in depth discussion regarding both of the negative reviews, and we do actually appreciate your feed back. At the moment we are experiencing rapid growth in our business and we realise that our service needs to keep up. We need to implement more effective systems in regards to who's doing what ect. I am actually a little embarrassed at some of the service we provided to you. Booked to have a lovely dinner at Carmel's Caf Bar and Grill, to reconfirm the next day and no such booking had been entered into the book. Arrived on the day of the booking, were handed a menu and seated ourselves. A staff member took our drink order and not long after our food order. The starter was beautiful. When our main arrived the starter dishes had not been removed from the table. When we finished our main course we were chatting away and time went by, people were leaving, and an hour later still no one had come to take our dirty plates away, let alone ask if we would like the dessert menu, drinks, or anything else. I had to physically myself get up and approach a staff member to come and attend to us. People that arrived after us had left and we had not even had our dessert. i agree with you, our plates also did not get taken away - not even when we had asked for the cheque. they didnt offer a dessert menu, so we didnt stay. poor service.
Yum!! Great food, great atmosphere, friendly service all at a great location. Good prices for the meals and drinks, love that it is a place both locals and tourists can feel at home in. Comfortable seating, nicely decorated, definitely recommend other to try this place out.

fantastic price, cooked to perfection. if your a fussy red meat eater (like i am) and you dont like the sight of "walking" meat... this is the perfect place for you.
