One of the highlights of our visit to Tasmania was taking a tour of the Cascade Brewery - including a generous tasting of Cascade's delicious beers. Although there was a large list of forbidden clothing items on the tour (such as skirts, shorts, sandals, jewellery and walking sticks), the price of a two-hour tour was fantastically reasonable, so looking dowdy was well worthwhile The only significant down side to the safety aspect of the tour was that they don't have a cloak room, so any bags you bring, you have to carry with you - something it would have been helpful to know at the outset (the other safety rules appear in the brochure). Nonetheless, the tour was interesting and authentic - a genuine journey into the atria and ventricles of a working brewery, as well as a description of Cascade Brewery's establishment and history.
