We went there for lunch 12/06/2016. What an amazing place. The gardens, restaurant and facilities
for functions are of the highest standard. The gardens, terraced down to the river, were beautifully
maintained and it was so peaceful strolling through them prior to lunch. I can see why it’s a popular
wedding venue. The lunch was excellent. My entree was salmon, quite a large piece, cooked to
perfection. roasted pork loin for main and finished with lemon delicious for desert. Excellent attentive
staff made it a great day.

I recently had my wedding at Caversham house and it was fantastic, even though there was heavy rain on the day. Everyone really enjoyed themselves and the food (especially the pumpkin soup) on the night.
Not everything went to plan ( my cake was late, the rain etc) but the staff handled it so professionally that I am really happy that I booked Caversham house for my wedding- I couldnt have thought of any other place that would have had such a successful outcome!

Beautiful venue, the hidden gardens provided the perfect backdrop for our ceremony and the food was lovely at our reception. Most things went off very smoothly on the day, except for the microphone malfunction during our ceremony which was eventually sorted.
Unfortunately, what mainly let Caversham House down was the poor service in the lead up to our big day. It seemed that as soon as we paid the deposit their friendly, accommodating service vanished. We must say, the response from your guests and family members on the night from our end of night report was 100% positive. There was a communication mix up with emails, we have already apologised. The day before the event and the day of the event you thanked us repeatedly. We have two full-time wedding Coordinators and myself F&B manager running successful events.The Wedding Coordinator came in at 7.30am on a Saturday in her personal time for your meeting.We upgraded two kegs for you to provide beers that aren't in our Beverage Packages. It unfortunately seems, that CH staff have an abundance of time for customers but only once they post complaints online. It's a shame this time and effort is not better spent on pre wedding customers service.
If the microphone was so simple to fix, why did we have to pass around a clip on mic for our ceremony?

I've attended several functions at Caversham House including weddings, engagements, baby showers, and have not once been let down by the incredible quality of food, high standard of service and atmosphere of the venue.
I attended their Talijancich Wine Dinner on Aug 17 and was extremely impressed, not only by the food, wine and service, but the great value for money.
Looking for an excuse to go back soon!
