Cedar Creek Lodges

This place was absolutely appalling. The rooms were nothing like they looked on the Internet. I was welcomed by someone who was chatting away on the telephone, and just handed me a key. I must mention they key she handed me was for an already occupied room. The 'romance' package i paid extra for was forgotten about. And i don't want to forget the bar tender that continuously called me 'darl', or the fact that once i got the correct key, the light didn't work, the water was brown and there were marks on the 'clean' sheets. I DO NOT recommend this place to my worst enemy. And I do this for a living. HotelScope.

This place is fantastic. We took two kids (aged 12 and 15) for a day trip. They tried a few of the adventurous on offer (including digging for gemstone-filled thundereggs and horse riding). We all loved it so much we booked in for a three night stay in a holiday lodge. There was so much to do (the adventure ropes course is unreal) that we plan to visit again during the Christmas holidays. This is one of the few family friendly places in the Gold Coast/Brisbane region. It's open for day trippers and holidaymakers. The new restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch every day and dinner on Friday and Saturday - the food is fantastic and everything is affordable even for budget conscious families.
