Kitchen & Bath Retailers
Chef King
The loudest warning against buying from this store.
Their “Casabarista” espresso coffee percolators are made of thin metal, causing the bottom to quickly buckle; and they don’t want to replace them.
It still pays off to buy from the department stores, where they will replace faulty goods without fuss.
Be very wary of this store. I purchased a faulty product from Chef King Chatswood Chase. It was unsafe and involved a cutting mechanism that never worked properly, everyone in my family almost cut ourselves on it several times. It then completely broke. I had it for a few months. They refused to give me a refund instead saying they would replace the part that broke. As it never worked from the beginning and was unsafe I didn't want a replacement I just wanted my money back. It was not a big ticket item either, only cost about $50. Be careful! It pays to shop at the department stores where you know you will get your money back if something goes wrong. I would never purchase from this store again. If I could leave no stars I would.
A great place to visit if you are looking for weird and wonderful kitchen gadgets. For example manual (aka no power cord, just you spinning it) food processors, novel drinking cups for kids that include a juicer and shot-glass table spoon measures. It's hard to sift through the things that will actually save you time and those that will just clutter your kitchen cupboard. Range is very diverse and staff seem well aware of what they stock.
