Cheltenham Medical Centre

One doctor is fantastic, however since moving to this practise I have been hesitant in going to see the doctor as some of the reception staff there are rude,and arrogant.

While I usually see Dr Paul Jenkins (who is great) I've seen most of the doctors at the centre and never had any problems. One or two may be a bit longwinded but they still are pretty good

The ONLY reason why I still come to this place is because of Dr Katrina Reid. She is a warm person and an awesome doctor. I couldn't ask for anyone better. However, the front office staff talks to you (on the phone or in person) like you're always bothering them. They are cold, rushed and just absolutely NO compassion!! At the moment, I am dealing with a surgeon, oncologist and others and their staff are all lovely people. I cannot say the same for Cheltenham Medical Centre staff. They are condescending and I always get off the phone feeling like I was not important enough to help. They always disappoint!!!

This practice is terrible - do not go there. Firstly the waiting room is in terrible condition, dirty and shabby. Secondly, I went to have my mole on my chest checked out. The doctor gave me a hideously patronising - not to mention long - lecture about melanoma and how I certainly did NOT have one. The doctor then went on to say that if I really didn't like the look of it I may be referred to a plastic surgeon. I thankfully decided I would go to the referral, although I didn't go as quickly as I otherwise would have. It turned out to be an agressive melanoma and I had to have a piece of skin 9cm x 3cm removed from my chest. the specialist at the Victorian Melanoma Centre said that if I had left it for another couple of months I would have been in much worse shape or dead. So be exactly that vain and go elsewhere for your medical needs!

Dr. Katrina Reid is awesome. My wife and I met her as a fluke when we first got pregnant and ever since she has looked after us so very well. She is great and we can't thank her enough, well done.
