Clonakilla Wines

Enjoyed a lovely free tasting at the Clonakilla Estate.
Cheese platters are available for those who'd like some nibbles and outdoor tables supplied along with a lounge area indoor by the fire.
Staff were lovely as we'd travelled with a toddler and a few empty boxes were supplied for her to have some fun too. Definitely worth the drive from Canberra to sample the wares and take a few wines home too... as we did.

Being brought to this winery by our wine connoisseur friends from the ACT, I was particularly impressed with their shiraz. Contrary to shiraz usually being on the very heavy side, the shiraz from the Clonakilla winery was much easier and lighter to drink. Now I can see why our friends stock so many of their shiraz in their wine cellar!
