Cock N Bull is your traditional English Pub. There is a relaxed yet inviting atmostphere and friendly service. There is also a decent selection of beers on the tap and also drinks for the non-alcoholics. This looks like a great place for a Friday night catch up and good pub food. Upstairs booths are comfortable and reasonably private and parking not too difficult to find. The bangers and mash were very good and the potatoes were very creamy. he perfect place for a Friday night catch up and good pub food.

I visited Cock N Bull for Friday night dinner last week whilst on holiday in Launceston. Whilst sitting at the table I read the below reviews and became very concerned that we made the wrong choice. Luckily for us, we didn't have the bad experiences that they had! It was a pretty standard pub feed- decent sized serves and a menu including burgers, chicken parmigiana and pie. We didn't have to wait long for our food and found the booth seating comfortable enough.

My wife and I called in for a quick meal on a wednesday before my night shift... order taken by staff... we both ordered the fish (Grenadier) & chips with salad. Admittedly it was cheap ($15.95), but when it came after 30 minutes, the battered fish was burned a dark brown and the fish inside was dry and tasteless. The small salad was mostly rocket with a small sliver of tomato and a few gratings of carrot, and the chips had suffered the same treatment as the fish. If we had had more time I would have complained, as all the batter and a good proportion of the chips were inedible, but we will definitely not be eating there again. Just because a meal is cheap, is no excuse for destroying it.

Before I start I blame myself for staying longer than I should of in this pub. All the warning signs were there for all to see, I.e local town debris dotted around the place non of which were drinking, some lying down on stools playing slot machines. We ordered the special thinking it would be quick, 40 min later the pork special arrived complete with crackling which competed amicably with the veggies for texture in short it was bad. We repaired to the smoking area which provided a splendid view of the drive thru bottleshop next door.
