This place is one of my favourite restaurants for a reason - the setting is über cool and moody and menu is exciting as it is easy to navigate. I always enjoy coming here. The quail sangchoy boa was simply heavenly and the desserts (we ordered the dark chocolate raspberry slice and the mango cheese cake) were exceptional. Great service and drinks to match as well. This place is perfect for dates and intimate catchups. Thank you team at Coda!
Lovely food, shame about the service. Went last night with a group of friends and had the set menu. One member of our group had special dietary requirements (gluten free) & was given alternative menu items. When the bill came, she was charged over $120 compared to the $60 set menu. We politely queried the bill as at no point did staff mention their alternatives were from an a la carte menu. We were abused by staff who were extremely rude and told us to 'get out & don't talk to them'. A simple misunderstanding which could have been solved became the most disappointing customer service at any restaurant I have ever been to. Definitely won't be going back as many other Melbourne restaurants with equally, if not better good minus the attitude!
Fabulous place to eat and linger! Taking inspiration from Vietnamese, Thai, French, Chinese...I loved everything I ordered from the entre to the dessert. Service was great and we were made to feel very welcome. There are some interesting dishes I will try if I go back! If you want some truly original dishes, you cant go past this place!
