Collins St Optometrists

While the optometrist has done a great job, when it came to the dispensary I was not provided with accurate information. Furthermore i was actually sold one type of lenses and was told it was another one. Very disappointing.

I walked into Collins Street Optometrists in August, knowing *something* was wrong but not what, or how serious it was; the vision in my left eye was blurry and distorted, like looking through a glass marble, and had been that way for at least a week. It was getting worse, not better. Dr. Southgate was thorough, but wasted no time in diagnosing the problem, and impressing on me that I needed to be treated immediately. In fact, he made calls and got me into Armadale Eye Clinic that same day. Turned out, he was spot on -- I had a blood vessel growing where there ought not to have been one, and the bleeding and inflammation were the cause of my visual distortion. Because I was seen and treated quickly, my eye is now 95% of normal. Had he not insisted, had I waited another week, or two weeks, my recovery would have been much less certain.

Knowledgeable staff, great customer service and follow up. Great range of glasses. Highly recommend.

First visit, man was very nice and helpful! Talked me through everything.

Optometrist was also friendly and quite thorough, asking questions etc.

A very satisfying trip t\o the optometrist, now to pick up my new glasses!

(Also, the assistant helped my choose a style and brand, which was cool!)
