Read the actual story in second paragraph, but long story short, staff in West Melbourne joint (I’m not allowed to name anyone here!) aren't familiar with their stocks, which resulted in wasting my time (including having to write this review). Don't know whether it's that they don't care about customer's experience, or they're simply too careless and lack that sense of imagination to put themselves in costumer's shoes.
Phoned prior to driving in for pick up, spoke to the bloke on the phone to ensure the monitor is the one with thunderbolt connectivity as I was unsure.

this place is shocking, the return polices and the staff are stuck up, rude and always right
i had to sue the store to get a refund on a $760 item that i purchased from them only to find that it had been opened and used previously and did not work when i got it, within an hour i was back at the store asking for a refund they don't give refunds its their policy was the response i was given i was then ignored and when i mentioned legal action the management laughed at me and said do it.
i did it, and one and got $600 more as compensation for stress caused and they also had to pay all my legal fees.
so AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!
No Warranty! Stay away.
I purchased a HDD from CPL (West Melbourne) which was Dead on Arrival. I went 2 hours later to request a replacement. I was told that CPL will not honour the warranty and claimed it's the customer's fault.
I will submit a complaint with Consumer Affairs Victoria.
I purchased a laptop form these guys i told me it came with Windows 7, Microsoft Office, a DVD writer, wireless connectivity and bluetooth capabilities. When i got to work i noticed that it didnt have Microsoft Office or Bluetooth when I then contacted CPL West Melbourne they told me to come in to the store to have the problem rectified. I was asked to speak to the person who sold me the laptop who said it i was sold the wrong model and that only the model above mine had bluetooth
After waiting over 1hour and 40mins I was then approched by another staff member who stated that none of the models have bluetooth capabilities and was told to purchase a USB bluetooth adaptor and Microsoft office.
