I attended a function booked at the Concordia Club in Sept 2013. From the first second of interaction with the staff I felt alienated, as if they were putting up\" with us. The staff treated all the guests as if they were interlopers to their domain. They were unfriendly and demanding. I thought the client was supposed to be demanding...not at the Concordia Club
The staff act as if you are intruding into their personal space when you ask them a question, or order a drink, or a meal. The food is typically uninspiring German basics...it is ok, but you really cant get the basic meat and veg wrong.
I am at a loss to understand why these unhospitable and aggressive people accept bookings from groups.
This diatribe sounds fierce, but I have never felt as unwelcomed in a venue that I was invited to or paid to attend in my life.....and I have been around.
Don't come here on a Saturday night if you are looking for a quiet dining location. But do come here if you are a family and if you are looking for the best pork knuckle in Sydney. The children roam free, they even have live bands that feature kids. And the pork knuckle is ENORMOUS and delicious and too cheap for words - $25. But only get one between two - that's how big it is.
