I had an awful experience at the portuguese consulate in Melbourne. The lady who works there, when under pressure, is extremely rude, dismissive and not helpful. Unfortunately, she is the only one working there and as such you have no choice but to deal with her. However, i have dealt with her on other ocasions and she seemed helpful before. I can understand and sympathise when people are under pressure or the only ones working alone but having said that, its does not give you the right to be rude to clients. My advice, go to the consulate when its quiet as you will be treated with more respect
