Cookie
A fabulous, lofty space perched high over Swanston Street, Cookie has ornate pillars, balconies and a bar that is as long as half a city block. The crowd is upwardly mobile and knows a great place to hang out. The Thai-inspired food is light and tasty and includes dishes such as chicken wrapped in pandanus leaf, Thai fish cakes and satay skewers. The drinks menu is enormous - hundreds of bottles of wine to choose from and an extensive beer menu featuring all of the international favourites. Cookie is always busy and is great place to begin or end a night out in the city.

Easy to find the Cookie restaurant - it's located on Level 1 Curtin House, Swanston Street (Melbourne CBD), basically in the heart of Melbourne. Cookie is a great bar and famous for their cocktail selections. They also serve modern Thai/South East Asian dishes. There is a large selection of dishes from small, medium and large dishes. There are separate lists for cocktails, beer and wine. Each list contains at least 5 pages and I'm pretty sure you can find something you like over there. There are some food hit and miss, but I will not hesitate to come back again to try out other dishes! The RoofTop bar at the top has a gorgeous view of the city of Melbourne. Very typical and classic Melbourne hang out spot for the summer or sunnier weather.
My favourite bar to visit when in Melbourne as its got the best roof-top bar (in my opinion).
I make sure I take a trip here for pre-drinks whilst feeling like I'm in the clouds enjoying some sweet tunes. It's a relaxed and casual atmosphere so I love to spend a night here when I just can't be bothered heading "out". I also heard the Thai food here is good, so I'll be back here to try that too.
It's hardly too packed here which is the best appeal making it easy to grab a drink, a table and enjoy your night. The Long Island ice teas are amazing!
I'm a fan of eating at cookie. The food is really flavoursome and pretty well priced. There is also a good mix of beers from the fancy to less fancy end of the spectrum. The one annoying thing I found here was that the venue forced us to download an app to run a bar tab, and the app kept crashing, But apart from that an excellent place for a drink and casual meal.
