Terrific service! Josh and his team know their trades very well. Trustworthy, reliable, and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Small problems other Gladstone mechanics had noted about our car were simply fixed - all part of the very reasonable service. Several families we asked recommended Coombs, and now I see why. A very happy customer!
We have been using Coombs for a while now with nothing but good, fair service. We recently had our vehicle booked in for a 180000km service. My wife arrived on the day only for them to tell her the car is not booked with them? I got on the phone to explain that I had booked it it the week previously and if they remembered the phone call? The gentleman on the other end explained that he DID remember my call but I did not acrually book it in with them...? I assured him I had. The man proceeds to 'more or less' call me a liar, and that if I had booked it in, it would definitely be in their books. Finally the man asks again for my name and some how manages to find my booking, yet is a booking for a vehicle that is not actually mine??? He continues to attempt to force the blame back onto me, by saying that I must have booked in the wrong type of vehicle to be serviced and such a mistake could not have been made at their end!!? Coombs Mechanical is a shining example of customer service and integrity in the Gladstone automotive industry. Milton Coombs kindly agreed to look at my Audi for me when it broke down, and tried for a week to get information and help from Audi Australia when it was clear that the problem wasn't an easy fix. He worked hard to try and get my car driveable again, and after finding that impossible he wouldn't accept payment for his time and effort. He is an absolute gem.
