Located in Menai, the Copperpot Indian Restaurant provides locals with authentic Indian cuisine. Whilst the service is friendly in this family operated establishment, the food is likewise a positive experience. Try the papadums. For a main meal, you cannot go wrong with the butter chicken and beef korma. You can also choose whether you want your dishes mild or spicy. A great place to visit if you are in the area and craving cuisine from the subcontinent.

I regularly travel for business around the country and have tried butter chicken in every capital city yet I am still yet to find a better one than Copperpot @ Menai. The palak paneer is another favourite which is of high quality. I can only drop a review star due to slightly expensive pricing, serving size and quality of naan bread not always being consistent.#reviewtowin
The food was really quite poor for a restaurant. I believe a trip to Woolies and basic jar of curry sauce would have served up better if I tried myself.. The Naan bread was rubbery and not that good. I have had better late night curry from Wynyard station or basic over the counter buffet style in other restaurant in Sutherland or similar. The beef madras heat taste wise tasted no different to the other restaurant we ordered for 2 young children. I have eaten a lot of Indian food, in a lot of countries and this was pretty low on the list.
