I would have to honestly say that going on my last experience at the tavern I would say I was very disappointed, due to COVID the buffet was not on which is no fault of the establishment,it was a Sunday and I wanted a Roast I was disappointed that there was no roast on the menu so desided to have the Cove seafood platter,I asked fortunately if the fish was local the girl went off to find out came back and said all there seafood was imported,I ended up having some macaroni balls, dry and unpalatable,so unfortunately won't be going back which is sad as I live so close, they need in my mind to improve on there food and menu and serve SA seafood, not imported ??
One of the worst pub meals I've had in ages. After waiting an hour for our meals we received over priced tasteless slop. Frozen pre crumbed schnitzels, chips thatwere not cooked (the chef was quick to replace them but they were also uncooked)Makes you wonder what a four year apprenticeship gets you. So disappointed paid over $100 for lunch for 4 people in the front bar. Definitely will NOT be returning or recommending this place to anyone.
Years ago a friend of mine lived in Hallet Cove, which meant that we would be regulars at this pub, or should I say bottle shop, since we rarely actually went into the pubs that we live near. I think we may have had a beer or two inside, but it escapes my mind. However when I came up to Adelaide for a short jaunt we decided to pay a visit again, and I have to admit that it isn't all that flash. It was fairly crowded (but then again it does adjoin a shopping centre) and it was a bit difficult finding the entrance (I had to walk all the way around, before I discovered another door out the side). Sure, it would be an okay pub if you lived in the area, but I don't so I doubt I would make the journey to come down here again.
Not very friendly or attentive staff, waited a long time to be seated and when the staff finally did they was quiet rude about which table we were 'allowed' at once we had been seated we didnt really feel comfortable enough to want to stay because of that encounter but we did and the Food was suprisingly nice but we expected it to be for the prices.
