Crown Street Grocer

The selection of gourmet goods you can buy from this grocer is amazing. If you're looking for something out of the ordinary or wanted to cook something different this would be the perfect match. I also get my pukara estate balsamic from here and also the giant Nutella tubs!

Such a cool little caf come grocer on Crown Street. Easy when walking past to the park with kids to be tempted by the beautiful fresh fruit on display which is always of the best quality. Great coffee too and a perfect place to have a coffee and people watch as you can sit facing the street.

From the outside, Crown Street Grocer might look like an ordinary small-sized, packed grocery store, but once you enter, you will be welcomed with an intimate atmosphere alongside a place where you can enjoy coffee and baked goods served next to the checkout counter.

There are also takeaway salads, pasta, and sandwiches varieties available at the back of the store in which you can eat-in at the side dining tables looking towards Crown St.

During my last visit, I had their chicken caesar salad. It was properly made and had a decent serving size considering it was of reasonable take-away price. They also sells cronuts that is marginally cheaper than the usual $5 per piece (it was $4.50 the last time I went there).

The staffs are friendly and there seems to be a lot of locals that have come to know them quite well, making the place a neighbourly one to enjoy.

A nice local little grocer shop, I bought 9 health food items which came to a total of $88.91 (see photo) which for me was a little expensive, but I'm sure others may not think so. Also make sure you check the item's expiry date as I'm sure they have a low amount of stock turnover and I did find the spelt flour was past its best before date. Apart from that, it looked like they had nice coffee and food behind their glass window which you could sit down and have at the premise.

It's nice! Try their artisan Italian cheeses.. delightful!
