The food is inconsistent and over priced
3/10

The bar staff seem young, experienced and can't poor a beer which I find hard to believe from supposedly one of the premier yacht clubs in Australia

The manager was rude and condescending!

However the most redeeming feature was the lovely doorman who was a true gentleman and the view.

Overall a dissapoimtimg experience.

The CYC is an awesome local if you're lucky enough to live nearby (and have an interstate driver's license to get you in - bit tricky if you're not a member and 'officially' live within a few kilometres). It has a real RSL/club-like atmosphere, so it's casual and relaxed and completely unpretentious, even if it does have a gorgeous view and some of the most incredible and expensive-looking yachts in Sydney harbour moored at it. There's a huge decked outdoor area right on the water with tables and bench seats which are perfect for sunny summer afternoons with friends, and a proper dining area indoors (still nice and relaxed though). The food is nothing to write home about, but it's good, hearty pub food and will satisfy the appetite you worked up out cruising the harbour or in here having a few beers. The fish and chips, burgers and basic but good parmigianas all get the thumbs-up from me. Not too expensive either and with a view and and atmosphere like ...read more

The Rushcutters Bay Cruising Yacht Club is perfect for a sunny afternoon beverage or cheap lunch. You have to be a member or live more than 5kms away to enter though. You must show your ID on arrival and then sign in.

It is a very casual dining experience down here. You sit outside at one of the tables and you have to go up and order your food. When you have ordered you are given a small buzzer that lights up, beeps and vibrates when your food is ready to be collected.

Food range isnt great but its super cheap. You can have beef nachos, a steak sandwich, ham and pineapple pizza, a fishermans basket or a couple of other simple menu items. The food portions are very large but certainly not gourmet. I would come back here again and again for the scenery not so much the food!

Wow. If you are new to town, have a friend visiting from out-of-town or have just never been before, you must go to the CYCA for a meal and a beer!

Sign in at the front desk and then grab a table over looking the yachts. It's a stunning atmosphere sitting amongst all the boats.
Everything is really reasonably priced but the meals are very simple... think standard pub food. It really was quite disappointing to sit outside at such a beautiful location and not have nice food. Some more people to clear and clean tables would be nice too. We sat down at a table and had other peoples plates in front of us for twenty ...read more
