Currajong Cabin Park
Where comfort countsThe Currajong Caravan Park has recently been taken over by local Parkes couple Graeme and Kate Smith. Already in the short time they have owned the park, they have made a number of upgrades not only around the parks grounds, but also in the on-site cabins. The cabins have been decked out with new linen and crockery, and some have even had new flooring put down. The saltwater in-ground pool is ready to go and is looking better than ever. Prices start at $55 per night for two people in a non en-suite cabin. If you have stayed at the Currajong Caravan Park before and haven't been impressed, come and visit again and we are sure you will be pleasantly surprised.

We stayed here for a while when we moved to Parkes.
I can honestly say fabulous and friendly staff, clean cabins and just
An all round lovely place. There were many upgrades in
The process while we were staying there and many more to come.
The new owners Graeme and Kate are doing a fabulous job
And I'd highly recommend the park to anyone.
My husband and I have stayed at the currajong cara park on numerous occassions and have always found the owners and staff to be very pleasant and helpful, with a thorough knowledge of the local area. Our two maltese dogs were made more than welcome by everyone. I have to say that they have rules regarding dogs, which is a reasonable request anyway and the norm for just about anywhere. The van park was always tidy, and the amenities clean. It has reasonably priced cabins and on the odd occassion when we have had the van on we have used the drive through sites which are easy to manouver in and out of. We would recommend the park as a good stopover or a place to stay when visiting the many tourist sites in and around Parkes.
Aside from its very poorly maintained locale, with a filthy pool and complete lack of any pleasantries like grass, our experience at Currajong was made infinitely worse by the some staff. They overcharge, considering the state of the place, and the cost wasn't justified remotely by quality of customer service. We were encouraged to leave on several occasions, cussed at for having a dog, even though it was 'pet friendly'. You couldn't pay us enough to stay there again.
