Cut Price Car Rentals

This would have to be the worst rental company I have ever hired from, picked up the car from staff that had the worst customer service, got there dark the guy who served me took his good ole time. Then once checking over the car tells me the gas light is on and will have to go fill up. Told him not to worry about it.
Once I picked up family from air port car was basically nearly cutting out on the way home so didn't even really use the car sat in the drive way most of the time so waste of money waste of time smelt like urine. When returning told the guy what had happened told me to write to admin and still no reply bad service from a bad company would not recommend for the price.

The car was fine and good price, however they broke their contract to me, miseld me, and then ignored me when I tried to chase it up.
I booked my car rental from Brisbane a month in advance and confirmed with credit card details. I also phoned a few days before to confirm. However at the very last minute I was told that the car I had booked was unavailable and they could provide a different, more expensive car which I would have to pay more for. I had no choice but to go ahead with the rental due to having plans already made which required a car. The man working at the Brisbane office said he would chase it up the following day and arrange a refund, but instead after that my emails were either ignored or I got very short responses saying it was not their responsibility. Third time I have used Cut Price but this time it was bad. On picking the car up the consultant was most surprise/annoyed I was not taking extra insurance cover and told me any extra scratches they would charge me the full $2750 excess I refused the extra cover as I had good travel insurance. Returned the vehicle and was met for the usual inspection. After a walk round with the bit of paper showing the many imperfections including a chipped windscreen he told me All OK you can get on the shuttle. 24 hours later I received an email informing me of a minor scratch and wanting me to complete an accident form. I refused as I had no recollection of any damage & had been told ALL OK on check in and as far as I know could have been done after I returned the car. The email I received was 24 hours later. CONSUMER WARNING!! - Do NOT use Cut Price Car Rentals - returned a car only to be charged for hail damage and the car didn't even get wet!!!Do your search. Warn your friends & family.

So mad about this company that I went through the trouble of making this account just to warn everyone.

I was hesitant to rent from this company after the negative reviews but decided to give it a chance. HUGE mistake . On the second day of our rental our car rolled to a stop in the middle of the highway because they apparently gave us a car without a gas cap. It was a really dangerous situation! Our car shook every time a car skimmed by us. They said they would be there within 30-45 minutes with a replacement car and it took 2 hours.
