A few times a year, over the last 20 years, on demand of my family, I troop to Everton Park to shop here. It changed hands once, years ago, but retained its range. The quality is consistently exceptional, with our favourites being real veal schnitzel, with plain breadcrumbs, tender, slim and crisp, fat Italian aniseed sausages and rosemary mint lamb racks. You can order what they don't stock, like shredded fresh suet for puds, or Christmas pre-orders. The butchers are interesting conversationalists. They open the belled door for you with a pulley, escorting you back into another era of butcher's shops. A gem; what's not to love? Try it!
This has to be the coolest butcher I know of !!!
Friendly staff, great specials, and they have this pulley system set up to open the door for you when you are full of bags & couldn't possibly open the door by yourself... What an idea !! kind of scared me the first time they did it, but it's a fantastic idea !!!
