Bought and immediately returned a $19 USB to Ethernet adapter marked to work with Macintosh. What should've been a very quick exchange became a return after the staff ineptly tried to deliver solutions which either didn't apply or considerably raised the InStorePrice:eBayPrice ratio. The "manager" told me he could not guarantee any of the cheaper adapters would work with Mac, even if clearly marked on the box.
As they reversed my transaction, the woman who served me at the returns counter put the faulty product back on the shelf. I suspect the manager knows the product is faulty and is waiting for someone unwilling to return it to purchase it.
This was my local emergency computer supply store, and I was going to buy my next laptop there. Shame such a simple interaction cost them a customer, but they seem to deserve it.
Purchased a product from them recently, not happy with their treatment of customers and makes me doubt their trustworthiness. Called them up to enquire about a product and ask for a price match, to which they agreed. Went into the store the very next day (as I informed them I would) and the guy behind the desk outright declined doing price matches after I reiterated my telephone conversation. He demanded to know "Who told you?" - supposedly I was to know all their staff by name. Offered me a tiny discount but not close to the price match. 1 staff member was very helpful - took her time to take me around the store, the rest were lost in their thoughts including the guy who only jumped in to flatly deny the price match.
Would I buy from them again? Only if desperation overcame reason.
