Daintree Wilderness Lodge
Your true rainforest experienceNestled amongst the rainforest, Daintree Wilderness Lodge provides the visitor with the ultimate rainforest experience. We offer boutique style accommodation with personalised service and friendly atmosphere. We only have 7 cabins and really enjoy looking after our guests during their stay with us.
With a highly rated A La Carte Restaurant, outdoor swimming pool and nature walk on the property, some guests never want to leave.
Guests have described their stay as "unique and special" which is what we hope to achieve for every guest.
We are located in between two of the most pristine beaches in the area, which reveal "where the coral meets the rainforest", being Thornton and Cow Bay Beach. Being centrally located between Cape Tribulation and the Daintree River, we offer convenient access to all major tours and attractions.
The Daintree Wilderness Lodge is proud to be awarded with an Advanced Ecotourism Accreditation from the Ecotourism Association of Australia. This illustrates our commitment to environmental sustainability and protection of this unique rainforest.
With only 7 cabins, an outdoor pool area and restaurant you can have the "bed and breakfast" feel but with some added facilities not always possible with smaller accommodation venues.
We have recently also added a honeymoon cabin for our newly weds or couples wanting to have a private weekend away. This makes for a wonderful weekend getaway and features a larger balcony allowing for candlelight dinners and evenings spent listening to the sounds of wildlife.
There is also a nature walk on the property where guests have often spotted the resident Cassowary - named Fred - drinking from the creek. There are many residents on the property including frogs, Boyd Forest Dragons, Padimelons, Possums, a unique array of birds and many small insects very uniquely evolved to suit the rainforest.
A true nature experience right in the middle of the rainforest!
