Daly River Mango Farm

My husband took me for a suprise weekend with nothing more than a tent, wine and beer, a mattress and 2 cans of spagetti. (Just gotta love men eh) Preston and Jac were amazing, not only did they loan us a blanket (as we didn't even have a sheet or pillows lol) and cooked the most amazing Barra with mango sauce (A must try) they made us feel like part of the family. The shop has all the necessary bits as well as good fishing gear and this is the only place on the Daly that has a bistro and bar. The prices were great and were infact cheaper than a lot of the places we dine at here in Darwin. The food was fresh and perfectly cooked so we look forward to coming back with friends and will not even be packing the spagetti or wine as suporting a small business like this with great friendly people is what keeps these special places afloat and in business. If we don't suport them then their business is not viable and we lose places like this for good. Allan & Shelly Holland (Darwin)
