Driving in to The Dampier Mermaid Hotel complex through tropical landscaped gardens you'll see the main hotel wing on your left consisting of the main Sports Bar, Sirens Restaurant, the William Dampier Function Room and the Breakfast room area. Adjacent to restaurant and function rooms is the beer garden which overlooks the spectacular views.

Behind this is the Hotel / Motel section consisting of 68 rooms with the option of rooms in our lovely quiet courtyard or our spectacular ocean view rooms overlooking the picturesque King Bay & Hampton Harbour.

Famous Red Dog

Red Dog was a Kelpie/cattle dog cross who was well-known for his travels throughout WA's Pilbara region.

Red Dog's story and statue have caught the attention of a millions of people throughout Australia and around the world through a feature film about Red Dog which was filmed on location in Dampier costing about $8 Million dollars to make.

Mermaid Hotel of course was represented, so whenever passing through Dampier, come and visit the statue and the Mermaid Hotel and compare what you saw on film to what is real life.
