Be aware: the doctor in room 13 DOES NOT take patients according to the queue. I know this because I was first in the queue for a long time and I watched her take THREE patients ahead of me. Patients who had been waiting half as long as me, if that. She seems to take patients according to whoever is sitting right outside her door, and/or whoever she is personally friends with. So sitting there is your best bet. I don’t know if the receptionists are aware that she does this, but if they do they should inform the patients, because it means that wait times are very unfair and misrepresented. It’s awful that people who are already worried about their health are also made to worry about whether the doctor will even decide to see them! Eventually I was called in by the one other doctor who was on shift. Surely the other doctors must be overloaded as a result of this one not pulling her weight! It’s a shame because it’s otherwise a decent medical centre but this is just abhorrent.

I’ve been waiting for 2.5 hours to see a doctor
There are only 3 doctors on.. oh, wait..2 doctors on duty, 1 left at 2pm..
Not sure where i am in the cue, but a prson that arrived about 30 mins ago sat on the chair after leaving and returning..
That person sat opposite me for about 15 mins and then stood up and walked to the open door where a doctor was sitting in his room..
She walked in and he treated this person without the doctor calling the ...read more
I think this medical centre is terrific, my complaint is not with any of the terrific GPs, but with a gynaecologist who practice's out of Darlinghurst and Brookvale.
This person was brusque, and rude. When I asked where their practice in Brookvale was, this person said that it was near Warringah Mall, "all women love malls, so you should know where that is". When I was enquiring about timelines for day surgery reprimanded me, saying that their priority was, 'life and health, not career'. Sorry if I need to tell work if I will need time off.
This person also told me not to " get my own ideas" and "consult Dr. Google".
Just a horrible and condescending person.
The most frustrating medical centre! I confirmed the day before how many doctors would be on in the morning and was told 2 from 7 am. I had to pick up pathology results before work. Surprise surprise only one doctor in when I get there at 7am. An hour later still one doctor and only 2 patients seen! This happens frequently! Why do I bother coming back? At busy times which seems to be always, at the most 3 doctors on. Be prepared for waits of up to 3 hours. Take the whole day off work if you're planning to come during the week. If you come in the afternoon, you might not be seen! Seriously, don't bother!
I just wanted to write and comment on Dr Alexandrou - she is such a great GP. She is such a lovely person; has time for a little chat and is very personable, but also very honest and kind. She deserves a positive review because she is one in a million!
