Huge tourist park with onsite vans, units and camp/caravan sites just out of Darwin city. Accomadation prices in Darwin are exorbedent, this is one of the cheaper places but was still very pricey. We stayed here twice in an onsite van the park and accomadation is spotless, modern and totally adequate. Great large pool. Restaurant has very expensive meals (for quality and serving sizes) but again food in Darwin and surrounding NT is exorbedent. We needed to contact them for our 2nd $20 key deposit return (when we caught an early flight, and returned key in after hours key drop off box), we were not notified of credit card charges for payments on either of our visits which was very frustrating and the fee was excessive and we received tourist info about Darwin on our 2nd visit (at end of our holiday) instead of at beginning of our holiday which was disappointing as useless, as the discount vouchers included would have been helpful.
This park has all the features of a resort including 3 pools, a resturant serving 3 meals a day during 'the season' and a bar. It has a play area for the kids. Some sites have concrete slabs and most sites are level. Sounds great, but don't be fooled most of the park is shut down if you are not there in peak season so even if you happen to be close to a toilet block it may not be open. The office staff were not overly friendly or helpful whereas the bar / resturant staff were quite friendly. The amenities were clean most of the time, but insufficient to cope the number of guests during the busy morning / evening shower times of the day during the shoulder season. This is the most expensive caravan park in the Darwin area. You will have to judge for yourself if it is value for money. It is nolonger affiliated with Big4 and does not give discounts during peak season.
