Located at the premium food court of Westfield Bondi shopping centre, De Costi is certainly one out of only a handful of premium food shops, providing high-quality seafood and salad dishes.
Since it is a food court, my interaction with the staff was brief. However, they really made a mark by being very friendly, courteous, and attentive. It used to be good, but now it's under new management. When I went to pay for my normal grilled salmon it had suddenly increased from $16 to $19. I asked what was I getting for $3 more, 'a bigger piece of fish' was the reply. I've eaten at de costi for years, the fish was Smaller than it used to be, as was the salad serving. A bad attitude from a management staff and a feeling of being ripped off, I will never eat here again.

Fabulously fresh seafood. Always served with a smile. Staff are excellent. Bought their smoked salmon for Christmas and it was the best I've ever eaten. They fly it in fresh from tasmania... its never been frozen liked most smoked salmon... and what a difference that makes!
