This shop has been under new management for a while now. We buy fish, chips and burgers here regularly. The staff are always friendly and the orders are always prepared quickly and taste great. Their fish is crumbed in store and it and the chips are never greasy. It is a terrific to have a quality fish shop in our local area.
I have been leaving my reviews for this place on 'Eatons Hill Takeaway', then I discovered they are listed as 'D'lish Phish' as well. My bad.
Went here recently for the good ole' chicken & chips dinner. Chicken courtesy of IGA next door. But this time I asked for my chips to be cooked a little longer to make them extra crispy. Yep not a problem they said. OMG! Crispy chips with chicken salt...Yumm!!!
Store presentation was clean and tidy, service was again friendly. I've read the other reviews below, but on my experiences I actually really like this place.
Still recommend!
One star is too much for this place. Ordered 2 burgers one of which was chicken . Both were disgusting. It was like it was stored in the fridge. And the potato scollops were just like they had been cooked in rancid oil and drowning in it. The store is run by people who have no idea. We asked for our money back and all we got back was a snicker.
Worst seafood and chips I've ever had. I've been back 3 times over the past 12 months hoping they were just having a bad day, but the food is consistently poor. For average to high prices (depending on what you order) you'll get soggy chips with no salt of any kind (despite asking for chicken salt),soggy crumb falling off everything leaving limp looking seafood behind in the tray. The staff that serves are polite, but good is awful. 3rd and last time we will be back.
