Dolittles Pet Retreat

We checked our precious little guy into the Kholo site on Thursday 8th December 2022. It has now been 3 days of calling all the numbers, inside & outside business hours, with absolutely no response. We are on holidays & are sick with worry. If noone is responding to our calls or returning our calls how do we know he's even being cared for? We have considered returning to Brisbane, cutting our 4 week holiday short to rescue him. What kind of establishment takes your money, takes your family member & then is uncontactable. We will both continue to call all the numbers listed to try to get a response. I would definitley not recommend this 'place' to anyone ... Ever!!!! If I could give zero stars I would.

Wouldn't board my cat anywhere else. These people are just lovely, both to my cat and to me. The pet retreat is always super clean, neat, and tidy, and the staff are the friendliest and most helpful people. My cat is super finicky, hates strangers, generally only likes her own house, but she comes out of a stay here happy and calm. Nothing is a problem for these folks, and they're honest and genuinely loving towards the animals. Highly recommend them.

WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE & DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM!
I made a booking with them for my little furbaby over the Christmas period for 21 days. As part of the booking requirements, the staff asked for a 50% deposit (about $350) to secure a spot in the kennel to share with couple other dogs. I was very hesitant at first as I was still concerned about the kennel and safety of my furbaby, however due to time constraint, I went with them either way.

We had our cat placed here over the Christmas period and this will be the last time we are doing so.
Firstly, how often do you pay for a service without actually knowing what you are getting??
We were told at the Drop off that we cannot look in the back as it was "too busy", which would be fair enough with the Christmas period...
Upon check out, we arrived at 7.30am to avoid any other people and to be able to see in the back as we knew it would be quiet. We simly wanted to know where our furrbaby was placed. Well thank god you had something to groom dear, they lost my cat at Christmas with their broken cages, broken doors and falling down fences.
