Domino's Pizza Glebe

I guess it is always a case of potential hit and miss when ordering takeaway but sadly the pizzas I received the other night were completely below standard. There was so much overpowering sauce on The Godfather I ordered that it was almost not edible and both pizzas tasted as if they had been deep fried on top of the cooking time. The toppings were pretty bland and the waiting time for pick up beyond reasonable given they were not frantically busy. Spewing I did not order the Chef's Best but thought I would give Domino's the benefit of the doubt that they could get their original menu right (ie. traditional pizzas). Don't be fooled by the new "dessert sampler" pack. The box is very small for the pricey $9.95 you pay and again the desserts tasted deep fried and completely over cooked. Having been turned off Domino's for quite a while, I was a little reluctant to try the revamped Chef's Best range, however hubby was persistent. At $8 each they are well-priced and taste just like gourmet pizzas. They are not as large as you would expect but just enough to be satisfied and not overindulge. To be adventurous we tried the BBQ Duck and Blue Cheese and it was definitely in line with its gourmet counterparts. To be safe we also purchased a Grand Supreme which was cooked to perfection. Plenty of toppings, great flavours and hot from the box. Great job on the revamp Dominos. Keep it up!
