General Dermatologist and Skin Cancer SpecialistDr Diana Tran graduated from Medicine at the University of Melbourne in 1995 and subsequently worked at St Vincent�??s Hospital, Melbourne. She undertook dermatology training in Sydney, NSW. She trained and worked in dermatology in Sydney (Skin and Cancer Foundation, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, St Vincent�??s Hospital, Liverpool Hospital and Royal North Shore Hospital) and spent one year in the United Kingdom (Royal Hospital Haslar) and another year in Singapore (the National Skin Centre) prior to working in Melbourne.
Dr Tran is also a consultant Dermatologist at the Melanoma Clinic, The Skin and Cancer Foundation Inc., where she supervises dermatology registrars in managing patients with complicated or advanced melanomas.
Dr Tran has published a number of articles in both national and international dermatology journals. She has been invited to give several educational talks to other medical practitioners about a variety of dermatological conditions such as common skin diseases, Asian skin, pigmentary skin diseases, eczema, acne and skin cancers
Dr Tran is a very versatile and approachable Dermatologist who enjoys both the medical and surgical aspects of dermatology. She is happy to see all patients regarding general dermatology ( acne, eczema, psoriasis and skin cancers) as well as consult patients with cosmetic concerns (eg. pigmentation, premature ageing, scarring, facial blemishes and birth marks). Dr Tran's clinic in Toorak offers cosmetic procedures, such as dermal fillers and wrinkle injections and there is access to laser therapy if necessary. Dr Tran is a competent skin surgeon and regularly excises melanomas, skin cancers and benign lesions.

I was encouraged when I read all of the wonderful reviews for Dr TRAN. I contacted her office and at their request, photographed the wound on my leg and sent it to her, then went to my GP for a referral which I delivered to her office. I was offered an appointment which I was unable to keep due to the fact that I live 4 hours drive away. After that I drove the 4 hours to attend their office. They would not see me. I have private health cover. I have now received an email from them telling me to go to a hospital as I may need to be admitted????
Lmao, i have been seeing Diana for the last couple of years and shes been nothing less than amazing. The times that i have had to reschedule i would have to wait at least a couple of months, and thats speaks for itself on how in demand she is. Regardless if you live 4 hours away or 20 minutes not commiting to your appointment is your fault. Cmon mate, no one turns up unannounced.
What does having private health cover have to do with anything?
Dont bash the doc's rep because you couldn't make the journey

Hi Ivy, I saw Dr. Tran (and any dermatologist for the matter) for the first time last Thursday at a similar time (3:15pm) to your appointment and my experience was the complete opposite to what you have described.

i had eczema on my face after giving birth, i went to see different GPs, but the rushes and itchness kept on appearing on different aeras on my face. One of GP even told me that was fungel infection. i think that was one reason made my face looked worse. So i made appiontment with Dr. Diana Tran. the waiting period was a bit long about one month, but after i became her patient, she looked after me. the rushes and itchness had gone after the first appiontment, the second appiontment she tought me how to control it. it has been one month the eczema is well controlled. now i don't need to stress about my face anymore, i can enjoy being a mum.
Dr Tran has helped me through a challenging time this year, she was upfront and honest and i'm already seeing a huge improvement. After a terrible experience with a Dr in the city, who did not manage my situation well and just added to my anxiety, Dr Tran was very informative and told me I would be ok and she has supported me through this process. Highly recommended!
