The vet seemed quite knowledgeable and the service provided was good. Allow an additional 15-30 minutes for your schedule as they seem to always run late. I refuse to make them my regular vet though as the parking is beyond shocking. The 'doggy daycare' at the back of the premises causes massive havoc with people literally abandoning their cars to take their dog in, it's an accident waiting to happen.
Staff were friendly and great. However, when I asked my pet's medical history for insurance purposes, they said it will cost me $25 if email to me and free if email to the insurance company. I mean, what's the difference? a month ago, they quoted me 2502.20 for my dog's ligament surgery which will include X-ray and general anaesthetic. Yesterday I rang to follow up on X-ray and they charged me 606 today for that. And now it will cost me 2713 excluding X-ray. I can't do the surgery today because it's not on a Thursday or Friday. Why didn't they tell me rather than charging me twice for anaesthetic, I could have brought her in on a Thursday or Friday. I feel like it's all about money. I understand everyone has to make money but there must be some form of ethics. Very disappointed, and when I complained, the vet is apologetic but so what? Feel ripped off!!
I'm led to wonder if there is a different NRVH that the positive reviews are for because my experience was terrible!
I required boarding and when I enquired the reception staff called me back and left a very lengthy and detailed message for me - they said that my cat would need a general check up before going in as part of their procedure (this is on top of showing all the vaccination records and prior vet checks)
I booked him in and was told by the vet that he may have some dental issues and needs a clean (ok fine.) then they dropped a bombshell that if they needed extractions it would be $850 for 1 tooth and $1100 for 2?!?! (For those wondering, they are not gold filled teeth!) wow talk about overpriced.. The clean deal is fantastic but then everything else is far too inflated! ...read more
Thanks for posting your feedback. Firstly I'd like to apologise that we have clearly failed to meet your expectations. I will be asking for feedback from the team to find out more about what happened. Once I've done this I'd very much like to give you a call to discuss what can be done to make amends and repair your faith in our service. As you rightly point out, we have over thirty review the vast majority of which as positive from happy client. We are however human and clearly don't it right everytime. That said, we do take your comments very serious and use them to try to improve the service we provide. I will be in touch soon. Best, Dr Dave Nicol
