Used a scoopon here for what was supposed to be $80 worth of anything on the menu + a bottle of red/white wine, however when placing our order we were told that the wine would be deducted off the $80 total!! Also the menu listed food at a few dollars more than what was shown on the scoopon website. Food was average, nothing to rave about & could probably be cooked in any home kitchen. Service was slow & not very attentive. We ended up having to pay a further $40 on top (didn't even have dessert) so all in all we paid about $80 for a supposed $125 of food & drinks. Not good value at all! They didn't impress me & I won't be going back.
We are regular customers of Drovers. Today we went for dinner for the first time though and the service was terrible and we were spoken to rudely by 1 staff member constantly who could not smile to anyone. Although there were only 2 other tables when we arrived and only about 5 when we left - we were not allowed to have an option or opinion of where we sat. Drinks that were ordered first arrived after our entrees. The mushrooms entree was cold and had not been reheated thoroughly and our Steak that was ordered medium came out very well done. Kids meals at a price of $10 were very, very small and did NOT come with the expected drink and ice-cream that we have become accustomed to as a family that dines regularly. We are now ex-customers of Drovers and will not recommend this cafe to anyone else.
i went in there a couple of weeks ago and the sun was straight in my eyes where i got seated and when i asked the staff if i could move seats they happily moved around a couple of tables to get me one out of the sun. i was also asked if i wanted to sit in a booth or a table on arrival which i think was a good option. well done to the staff of drovers
A group of 8 of us went to Drovers today 18/9/11 and were all disappointed, We arrived at 12.30pm to a reserved table with the restaurant approx half full, at 12.45pm we gave them our orders. At 1.20pm they informed us that 2 of the dishes ordered weren't available and we finally got our dishes at 1.45pm. The fish was cold, the bangers an mash, sausages had shrunk dramatically from previous visits, the soup very watery. On paying the bill we were offered 5% discount and a $20 voucher, on checking the voucher is only available for evening service, needless to say none of us will be returning.
