I moved to Ipswich about 2 years ago. I was not sure where to take my vehicle and find it difficult to find someoone I feel is honest and not trying to 'rip me off'. I took my car to Eadies because they were close to my work. From the very first visit they have been helpful and honest with a practical approach.
Great service, never had any problems with their workmanship and reasonable pricing (far cheaper than the dealers).
My Ford Falcon (not an exotic vehicle) had an air conditioning problem which Eadies attempted to diagnose and repair. After three separate visits, three regases, and several different components replaced - it still didn't work! I cut my losses after $700+ and their reluctance to accept any failings on their behalf for misdiagnosis and replacement of previous parts, despite assurances each time the car was now fixed.
Im sorry to hear this. Air Conditioning can be a difficult area to diagnose being that refrigerant gas is invisble, whilst we do use Dye's there is a time frame the vehicle needs to return in for them to be effective.
We like to take a practical approach and start with the least expensive options first (ensuring the part is faulty first), rather than tell people to replace the whole system straight away, in most cases this resolves the issues, in a few however the whole system may be beyond repair and requrie replacement.
Put my car in for a routine service and was charged $1200. I then returned a week later to get a safety certificate for the vehicle and was informed that my car was not roadworthy even after being serviced. The faults they described were not raised in the service and seem outlandish. They charged me a subsequent $77 to tell me that my car was not road worthy and that it would cost a further $800. I will not return to this mechanic.
I am new to the area, and found that the staff were very helpful, great service and pick up and delivery for locals.
Thanks for your feedback. Glad to hear from a satisfied customer, look forward to seeing you for your next routine service.
