What a stunning location for a wedding! Eagle Heights Mountain Resort has the most beautiful views over the coast & hinterland. I recently attended a wedding here & it was just beautiful.
The Bridal Suite is gorgeous with a brown chesterfield-style couch & four poster bed covered in lace. The Ceremony area is lovely with amazing views & an ivy covered arch. There's a private separate building for receptions, decorated beautifully.
There is also large pub area down from reception which extends out to a verandah & grassed lawn if you're just wanting to stop in for a meal. And plenty of rooms if you're wanting to stay on the mountain.
Stayed here for my wedding and booked the whole place out. It was for the easter long weekend and the views are great. The honeymoon suit was lovely, and other rooms were nice. Our rates included breakfast, which was quite good. However, I was very disappointed with the service as they closed good friday and argued with me as they didnt want to provide any sevices such as breakfast, or run their restaurant....I know this was a public holiday but I found this insane as the whole accommodation was booked by us. They eventually agreed to do breakfast, but the place was deserted after that. My husband and I had to hunt down somewhwere to get dinner for the first night of our honeymoon....pizza!! The management at the time also managed to upset some other guests as they overbooked and instead of getting the adjoining family room they only got standard room but were still charged family room rate and wouldnt refund money which made them leave ...read more
We stopped here to enjoy the views of the Gold Coast, which are very impressive from the beer garden. The food and service however was well below par.
My young son wanted the chicken nuggets, but when they arrived he refused to eat them. I thought he was been picky and tried one myself. I don't expect much from Chicken nuggets, but they were disgusting, tasting more like potato than chicken. I took them back, but rather than exchanging the meal, I was confronted with a member of staff who argued with me for 5 mins about how these were standard, frozen chicken nuggets from a company who supplies 65% of QLD including Red Rooster. I think his statement sums up the food here ... if you want fast food quality at restaurant prices, you'll love ...read more
