Used this outfit to book a small sized SUV for use around Melbourne between 7 Oct 2022 - 9 Oct 2022 (inclusive). I had to wait for two hours for their shuttle to pick me up from Melbourne airport. The systems in this outfit are not working well - for example, the interface with the Rental Cars app. Overall, it was a poor decision on my part to use them. Bottom line: keep away!
Had my booking information from a booking made online. Clearly stated that the total cost for was $140 to pay at counter. If i wanted $0 insurance excess it would cost a total of $45. Thats a total of $185 i am expected to pay. I get to the eastcoast office and am charged $217.70 with a $350 excess as their were fees not stated in my contract. I tried to argue the fact but as I had already been led to this place it was easier to suck it up as time was more imortant. If i had more time I would of made them take me bank to the airport and would have hired through another company. And they knew this and loved this. Very bad way of getting customers. I wont even rate this company. Will be taking to ombudsman so no other poor customer gets stung with them. .
I used east coast car rentals at Tullamarine when i was on holidays. Whilst on holidays an unknown person stole the rear windscreen wiper of the vehicle I rented. If you pay the premium reduction waiver theft is covered but east coast car rentals made me pay to buy a new rear windscreen wiper. I'm disgusted with how they can do this. I'm on here to let you all know.
had a great experience renting a car at East Coast before. I rented a car because I need to detail my Volvo C70, luckily when I get a quote from their office, they really impressed me about the rules and the wide information regarding on how their policies going on upon renting a car.
