Ecocommunications is the coyote ugly of companies. The sales pitch is slick, but the reality is poor products, poor pricing and terrible support. Pity us poor fools who fell for the pitch, please save yourself. My calls to support ended up in the maelstrom of a black hole. They acknowledge the issue, but gave no schedule for a fix. Problems I had with their VOIP product left clients unable to contact me, but no fix for over a week. Another issue took weeks and countless calls to support because their marginally competent technician created new problems with every attempted fix. Weekend support is essentially non-existent, even for issues leaving phones unusable. I learnt PABX programming to avoid their techs. Disagreements over a bill always ended with argument, even for something as simple as being charged for a service not installed. Even trying to leave the company is a fascinating soap opera of incompetence and blame. I look forward to the end, but each day ...read more
Don't, just don't believe what you promised. I have had nothing but problems for the last 2 years. Phone calls dropping off half way through a conversation (followed by diversion to my mobile); poor download and upload speeds and they don't really care, probably dodgy modem. I bought my own modem but they didn't help me configure to internet phones, so I can't use it. Probably also dodgy ADSL line as well, no idea, except that I have problems every 2nd day, just too busy to keep ringing them to complain. They sit in their little offices, telling me they remoted into my modem and everything was fine (according to their signals). If everything was fine, why would I continue to suffer drop outs on my internet? 1/5 starts is too good for them, if there was a zero, it would be zero and when I have an afternoon where I am not busy, I will write a complaint to the Ombudsman of Telecommunications.
