Located in East Gosford on the scenic Central Coast, the Elanora Hotel was established in 1957. There are three bars on site including a sports bar to watch all the latest games on television screens. The outdoor terrace is an ideal place to bask in the sun with friends; smokers are also welcome in this area. The bistro serves traditional pub fare that is inexpensive and hearty. With accommodation available, patrons can stay at the hotel and use it as a base for exploring the area.

I have been a local for 18 months and went here recently. We were disappointed with the food, my husband had a chicken/chorizo burger which was ok and I had a soggy, average chicken ceaser. Not sure why it was awarded so highly from good food guide.

I just finished house sitting in East Gosford for a month, and I visited this pub a few times, for lunch and dinner, and just for some friday afternoon beers. I have to say it is one of my favourite pubs on the central coast. Friendly staff, great TAB area, and the food is quality. They have $15 specials on some days of the week and it is great value, however the steaks at normal price I think are a bit overpriced, as ours came with minimal chips and salad. The salads are really nice, but I think the best things on their menu are their burgers, which were really nice. Wish I still lived nearby as I rate this pub highly.

I actually hate to say it, but the food here was very ordinary. When I arrived, I expected the cook your own steak to be something special. Unfortunately, there was no salad bar, something you expect when cooking your own steak. The steaks were wrapped in sealed plastic and were very overpriced. Instead I decided to go the bangers and mash and what I got was a small dollop of mash with a spoon full of peas, although the Guinness sausages were quite tasty.

Basically, don't bother with this place. If you want a real nice cook your own steak on the Coast, head for the Terrigal Hotel. Vastly superior, with a massive choice of cuts, a huge salad bar and best all, much cheaper.

Its like every other pub with the exception that the food is pretty good and affordable.

They have heaps of plasmas on the wall that always play the current footy games.

the selection behind the bar is decent and the prices are OK.

I recommend the Elenora Schnitzel for dinner.
