Stayed here this weekend with hubby and 2 young kids. Not very family friendly from our experience and was very disappointed. Was recommend this site by a friend but not sure if there has been a change of management since then? No talking after 10:00pm, no torches after 8:00pm (fun if you have to take kids to the toilet block at night! ), rude management who told us we could light a campfire in the pit and then said it was too big - wish they had just said "no fires" and that would have been that. Magic photography of pool - maximum of 4 kids at a time would be my recommendation as nowhere as big as shown on the website plus you can only use it between 10:00-6:00pm so if you had ideas of an early morning dip forget it. Will not return especially seeing as the management said because they spoke to us about talking outside at 10:05pm and the fire we would probably be banned - nice end to our break!
Visited Esk Caravan Park on our first run with our 5th wheeler & 2 little dogs, arrived to a very friendly welcome, shown to our site then our problems started, the batteries which we thought were charging in the trip out didn't and they were flat, so couldn't operate the slide out etc... the camp attendant arrived in his golf cart, battery charger and jumper leads in hand and before we knew it everything was up and running and further assistance was offered if we had more problem's which we did, the next day they assisted again arriving with a ladder and up on he roof he went to look at the air con unit, then directed one of the 'local' campers in our direction for advise on the matter, as he was a retired refrigeration techo.
Everything was clean, lovely and peaceful, very friendly & helpful and we'll certainly be returning. Thanks guys that was great customer service above and beyond.
As a single mother, I was a little nervous about our first trip with a caravan. When I called the caravan park for the first time, I felt a little more confident that we would not be 'alone' on this trip. On arrival there, we were made to feel very welcome, like friends who just arrived. We were offered every assistance in sorting out our temporary 'home' and finding whatever we needed. Since that time we have returned to the park whenever we need a holiday. We have been given food on several occasions, loan of a heater during a winter stay, access to our caravan when I locked the key inside it by mistake, some caravan maintenance, etc, etc, etc. These people are the reason I now feel confident taking my children on 'camping' holidays single-handed. They care about their visitors as if they were their own children.
