This place was amazing when it was only the float centre in Ashgrove since it was bought out and merged with The Fountain of Youth at Alderley it has turned out to be a disgusting, run down old shack. How anybody could class this as a day spa now is a joke. The new owner runs a dirty, impersonal wishy washy centre. I was horrified to have the owner walk in on me numerous times while I was having treatments. The first was when I was floating naked in the float tank and she walked in to put towels away clearly not caring that I was in there having a private float session, then after I was having some waxing done with another therapist ( brazillian actually) and she barged in leaving the door open to the street veiw for all to see while she spoke with the therapist. I would suggest that all people avoid the fouintain of youth / float centre as this is an embarassment of a business.
I had an expired gift certificate for a float & massage ($110) which stated on the certificate "expired certificates can be redeemed for a 5% surcharge". Their fees had gone up to 25% since the gift certificate was purchased. They tried to force me to pay 25% instead of the 5% as stated on my certificate, then called me on my mobile 5 mins after leaving to abuse my character. Float = relaxing, massage = depends who you get. After that phone call I wasn't very "relaxed" to say the least!
