Forster Luxury Houseboats

Houseboat was very old and needed a lot of maintenance. Could not sleep down in room where the bed was as the floor was damp and had an awful smell. Toilet always stunk and was hard the flush. Shower went from boiling steam to freezing cold. Cockroaches were everywhere. Anker had to be pulled up manually and was extremely heavy. On th up side spectacular views and good fishing. Would never hire from here again

I hired a houseboat from Forster Luxury Houseboats over the June long weekend. We experienced extensive mechanical failures over the weekend which ruined the experience. The owner then refused to refund any money or bond. I had to go to court to receive my money back (which i now have 5 months later).
Steer clear of this business. I'd hate to see what happened to us happen to another group of people.

Stay away, stay far away from this so called "Luxury" house boat hire company. My husband and I were looking forward to a five day floating holiday. To our horror we both came away with a case of bed bugs caught off the dirty lounges (complete with broken press studs) as we refused to sleep down stairs on a mattress on the floor, in a 3ft high, 70's shag pile carpet covered cave (no other way to describe it). Most fixtures were broken. Bimini was tied on by fishing line and there were exposed electrical switches for the toilet pump. We lost our $500 bond, and we are now the 4th lot of people that I know of that have lost their bond. We lost ours because the cover of one of the motors was flipped off by the tender boats rope rubbing from side to side during a storm. We were then accused of tampering with the motors.
