Good food but they lack in customer service. We were waiting over half an hour for someone to take our order but we just got ignored.

Good food at good price. Flexible with special requests. The spicy buttered prawns are a treat and calamary cooked just right. Its getting popular so you normally need to book Friday and saturday.

Fortune Palace, or "Hanna's" as the locals...or at least my in-laws call it, is a bit of a gem out in the Eastern burbs. As you tend to head out of the CBD (in my opinion) the level of authenticity (and taste) of Chinese eateries tends to drop. The burbs often sees 1970's like menu's consisting of lemon chicken & fried rice. Fortune Palace has these old school (aka boring) options but also has some cracking dishes! The salt & pepper squid is the best I've tasted this side of Victoria Street. The Cantonese beef adds a new dimension to tasty & tender. The schezuan dishes actually pack a punch! Tasty, good, well priced. All served with a smile!

This is the best chinese takeaway in the area. The food is very tasty and always consistent. Prices are also very competitive. Dining in the food is still great and so is the service though you have to keep in mind it is BYO only. Half a star lost for outdated decor in the restaurant.
