Frankston Flakey Jakes

Flakey's is my 'go to' place for fish'n chips in Frango. Never had a problem, always got what I ordered and food is never over or under cooked. They always ask if you want salt, I guess some people don't want it, can't imagine fish and chips without salt myself, but, each to his own. Also you won't get lemon unless you ask for it. I usually get Barramundi, and it's always tender and fresh. The scallops can be a bit random, but then I've found that just about everywhere.

Just visited there recently twice during the week actually, the chips were delicious and the potato cakes are the best in town!

Customer service was excellent, with the staff smiling at the counter and when they handed out the food to me

Not a happy customer at all! Waited over half an hour for my order of two burgers & minimum chips, only to get home to find that i had PAID for extras on our burgers, which we didn't receive! & our chips, were unsalted (wanted lots of chicken salt) & VERY soggy!! I suspect they had been sitting there the whole wait.

We called up & young man said we could get replacement order on another day.. once we followed through with that request, we were treated horribly!

We were refused, then given even more soggy chips, then only given our burgers with a big frown! Right infront of me also, they tried to justify themselves to other customers, saying we just "wanted freebies".. not very hapy at all!!

I must admit that the service & food is good when it's good, but it's not worth the toss up between whether you'll receive something quality or not & the wasted $$

I would recommend that people go to another fish and chip shop. The chips were over salted and not worth the $.

The service was terrible. They were rude and even when found to be in the wrong, Would still not apologise and continued to be vindictive towards me. What was supposed to be a fun end to a day with the soccer team turned into a horrible experience in this store.

Flakey Jakes not only do great fish and chips but they have a huge range of burgers, steak sandwiches and souvlakis to keep everybody happy. They have a big stock of drinks to takeaway too, including fantastic milkshakes which they freshly make. Their seafood is very good and they have a range of deals for the whole family.
