First time we have dined there and will be the last. Ordered our meal and for a pub prices were high but have never minded paying for a good meal and generally when the pricing is high so is the quality of the food, but I couldnt be more wrong with that assumption. We ordered steak. It was tasteless. We complained and sent back to the kitchen staff. Has obviously tasted it and sent the wait staff back telling us they agreed and to choose another meal. Well as you would understand we had had enough at this stage and got up to pay for the one meal ordered and eaten or partly and leave only to be charged for both meals. I explained that with agreement you have given us a bad meal which was sent back so now your asking for us to pay for something we never got. I was told that because they had paid the supplier so we had to pay them. I say no more, I paid and walked out astounded. If this was the last pub in Geelong I still wouldnt set foot in there doors again.
The Fyansford is very small and the service is very slow as they don't put on enough staff. At a sunday lunch we had to wait 2 hours for a meal. Then they served dessert with no spoons to eat the mudcake with.Beer garden is in need of major renovation.Highly overrated.
