I had a surprisingly good stay at the Garden Inn. We were in town for the Artstate conference in Lismore, but none of the motels in Lismore had a pool. We decided that the pool would be worth the 15 minute drive into town each morning, and it was! The inground pool is nicely landscaped. The whole motel's gardens are quite pretty, with all rooms facing onto greenery. I fell in love with Harley, their Kong-obsessed Border Collie. She greeted me at the door to my room each morning, and we had a rousing game of fetch every time we went swimming. Rooms are clean and nicely appointed for a daggy old motel. Towels were plentiful. The spa bath was giant and set near a window rather than one of those ugly corner ones. I would stay here again!
