Waiiiiiiiiiit! Why did no one tell me this little gem was hidden away in Darling_it_hurts?!

At least it was easy to find. Follow the huge que peeps! Or the huge crowd standing around outside, inside, everywhere...

It's a bit of a fight to get in and get served, there seems to be no logical line forming in the least.

HOWEVER! This is all made up with the fact that they make the best gelato in Sydney. Hands down no contest.

And they have gelato named "have a gay one tonight" - how could you not want to visit?

I'm already planning my next outting around making sure I somehow end up here. Oh yes. Yummo.

I got a two scoop in a cup Gelato here for my German guests, and if course for myself. You can not buy anything this good in Italy... and it is sold at a very fair price. Today's specials that I tried was a burnt caramel with pecans and a witty name which I can never remember. Also a mango and jackfruit Gelato which made me very happy. Cash only but that's ok, and today I sat on the tiny stools outside to eat and savour it all. A must-do if you've got overseas guests, or even if you don't.

Long term fan of Gelato Messina, which started in this very store, and has now expanded far and wide. My favourite flavour is caramelised white chocolate, though on a hot day it's hard to beat coconut and pandan for a palate cooling pleasure!

I am not the biggest ice cream fan but I do love Messina! You can never go wrong with their salted coconut and mango, and salted caramel. We always get the 1L take away pack and end up demolishing them in one go.

Review to win entry OVER 8 years AGO

My brother and I took my mum to Messina on Mother's Day after a lovely lunch.
We were invited to try as many flavours as we liked before choosing which ones we'd like to purchase.
The flavours are incredible and very difficult to choose which ones you want
