The most beautiful gelato in SydneyGelato Messina uses all natural ingredients in their gelato, the way it should be. Since opening in 2002 on Darlinghurst's Victoria Street, Gelato Messina has been drawing in the locals and visitors alike with their tasty take on gelato. They also supply gelato cakes.
Over 40 flavours of ice cream with a cool street vibe. Join the crowd out on the pavement for your sweet fix.
Waiiiiiiiiiit! Why did no one tell me this little gem was hidden away in Darling_it_hurts?!
At least it was easy to find. Follow the huge que peeps! Or the huge crowd standing around outside, inside, everywhere...
It's a bit of a fight to get in and get served, there seems to be no logical line forming in the least.
HOWEVER! This is all made up with the fact that they make the best gelato in Sydney. Hands down no contest.
And they have gelato named "have a gay one tonight" - how could you not want to visit?
I'm already planning my next outting around making sure I somehow end up here. Oh yes. Yummo.
I got a two scoop in a cup Gelato here for my German guests, and if course for myself. You can not buy anything this good in Italy... and it is sold at a very fair price. Today's specials that I tried was a burnt caramel with pecans and a witty name which I can never remember. Also a mango and jackfruit Gelato which made me very happy. Cash only but that's ok, and today I sat on the tiny stools outside to eat and savour it all. A must-do if you've got overseas guests, or even if you don't.
My brother and I took my mum to Messina on Mother's Day after a lovely lunch.
We were invited to try as many flavours as we liked before choosing which ones we'd like to purchase.
The flavours are incredible and very difficult to choose which ones you want
